Dunnes Stores has had to clarify an "error" on one of their special offers after it left some customers "completely baffled". A coupon in circulation for the store offers people "EUR10 off EUR40", but then continues on to say "grocery shop when you spend EUR100". And many customers were confused as to what exactly it meant, do they get a tenner off if they spend EUR40 or EUR100...or both?
One customer said: "What is the offer please, I'm completely baffled what this voucher is offering me." Another added: "Do you know if this is a typo? Do I really have to spend EUR100 in order to get EUR10 off EUR40?"
But Dunnes has reassured customers that you do not have to spend EUR100 to get just a tenner off EUR40 - if that even made sense in the first place.
Instead, the offer is simply EUR10 off when you spend EUR40, if you have the voucher.
A spokesperson said: "The offer is EUR10 off EUR40.
Please ignore the spend EUR100 part on this as it was an error."
